About Me

My name is Stephen Lee, and I write, edit, design and publish FootnoteTV entirely by myself, in my spare time, and for free. I used to be a metro reporter for the Chicago Tribune and am now a lawyer at the New York firm of Debevoise & Plimpton. I live in New York City with my wife, a violinist whose schedule plays a big part in making this site possible. I obviously watch (or at least monitor) a lot of TV (we love Tivo); my favorite dramas currently are The West Wing, Lost and Battlestar Galactica.
