Footnotes now on-line for the
December 17 episode of
Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by Jack Black. I think these might be the last footnotes for 2005, given all the repeats in the coming weeks. I'll try to post footnotes for some recent movies during the break, such as Syriana, so keep on checking back. Happy holidays and merry Christmas to all.
12/15 - Daily Show / Colbert Report
Footnotes for the last episodes of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Colbert Report for 2005.

Footnotes for Sunday's episode of
The West Wing.
For all the second-guessing and doubts, Josh actually has not done all that bad, considering how far behind he was six episodes ago. Back then, Vinick had strong leads in at least 26 states with a total of 249 electoral votes, whereas Santos had such leads in just 10 states with a total of 96 electoral votes. Now, Vinick has 23 states with 221 electoral votes, Santos has 13 states with 112 electoral votes, and many states are still up for grabs. He may have given up on Illinois prematurely, but he still has time to close the gap some more. Go
here for more.

Footnotes now on-line for the
December 10 episode of
Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by Alec Baldwin (making his 12th appearance on the show). I particularly liked the Medicare ad sketch, which reached a bit beyond the most recent presidential speech or the most immediate headlines to make a less obvious point.
12/7 - Daily Show / Colbert Report
I had problems recording Law & Order last night, so was not able to footnote it at this time - maybe when it repeats? Still, here are some new footnotes for The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Footnotes for Sunday's episode of
The West Wing, the first in several weeks.

My most recent footnotes are for the
December 3 episode of
Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by Dane Cook. Relatively light on footnotes, with Weekend Update focused mostly on President George W. Bush's recent "National Strategy for Victory in Iraq" plan.
12/1 - Law & Order / Daily Show / Colbert Report

Footnotes for Wednesday's
Law & Order (a day late).
11/30 - Daily Show / Colbert Report
I had to stay late at the office and my wife and I had to find out "what Kate did" on Lost, so I'm running a bit behind today. I managed to get my footnotes done for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and for The Colbert Report, but wasn't able to watch Law & Order last night and will try to do so tonight.
