FootnoteTV is the news site that analyses the current events and issues raised in some of your favorite TV shows. A 2004 study found that 21 percent of young people regularly were getting their campaign news from comedy shows like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Saturday Night Live. So, some footnotes. The main blog and weekly calendar of footnoted shows are on-line here.

My name is Stephen Lee, and I write, edit, design and publish FootnoteTV entirely by myself, in my spare time, and for free. I used to be a metro reporter for the Chicago Tribune and am now a lawyer at the New York firm of Debevoise & Plimpton. I live in New York City with my wife, a violinist whose schedule plays a big part in making this site possible. I obviously watch (or at least monitor) a lot of TV (we love Tivo); my favorite dramas currently are The West Wing, Lost and Battlestar Galactica.
